300 Justice United Leaders Take Action

from: ocjusticeunited.org

On Thursday September 15, 300 Justice United leaders will take action on policing and affordable housing issues. Justice United will meet publicly with District Attorney Jim Woodall, and rally support for the Housing Bond.

Justice United leaders will ask District Attorney Jim Woodall to commit to work with them and explore options for driver safety programs that would help reduce the regulatory fees and fines that have cost Orange and Chatham County drivers $1.79 million over the last seven years.

Justice United leaders will also outline a vision for building more affordable housing on public and faith owned land, rallying support for the $5 million Housing Bond which could build 160 new units of affordable housing in Orange County.

“It is crucial that Orange County voters send a clear signal in November that affordable housing is our top priority” said Rev. Thomas Nixon, Justice United Strategy Team member and Paster of St. Paul AME Church.
